Don Reeves

AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C

Don is a project architect and manager at cnct., bringing with him a wealth of experience from projects across the county and in many types of design, ranging from multi-family, institutional, healthcare, civic, and adaptive-reuse. He acts both as a valued team-member, whether as a resource of experience or when directly bringing to bear his management & coordination knowledge, problem-solving skills, and his experience in design & construction research on a project.

Don’s portfolio includes large, complex building programs, from university centers encompassing fitness, dining, performance & administration uses in one building, to hospitals and technology research & education centers. His projects have ranged from $1 million to $120 million in costs, and from 10,000 SF urban renovation projects to 400,000 SF ground-up construction work. In all of these typologies, Don has implemented his thorough and exacting approach to programming, design, quality review & control, and construction. Whether documenting LEED Platinum on an energy-intense research science building, or managing a full suite of MEPFP consultants through the rehabilitation of an existing building with structural challenges, Don values and promotes a methodical level of execution and detail.

As an architect, Don is driven by the belief that rigorous attention to detail is the surest approach to a project that successfully combines fiscal responsibility, environmental benefits, and aesthetic design, and one that will serve both the Community and the Client. This approach to detail exceeds the design of a building, reaching also to the execution of quality control & communication processes. This belief has been affirmed by his experience seeing complex projects from concept to occupancy, with many of those projects earning state & national design awards.

Don is responsible for project research, code analysis & compliance, consultant coordination & design integration, project documentation, and construction administration.
