Located at 46 N B.B. King Blvd in Memphis, Tennessee, The Dermon Building is set to transform a limited-service hotel managed by Holiday Inn Express. This redevelopment will feature 159 new sleeping units, lounge areas, conference rooms, breakfast, and fitness center amenities.
Situated adjacent to a mix of institutional and commercial properties, the project will bring new life to the currently vacant building and disused site. By preserving a significant part of the city’s history and urban fabric, the proposed development will add 159 new sleeping units and off-street parking spaces to the Downtown area.
The renovated Dermon Building aims to support the growth of Downtown by catering to new museums, conventions, concerts, and other activities. It will serve as a hub for business and cultural tourism, infilling a missing component within this block. This project represents an exciting opportunity to bridge the past and future of Memphis, contributing to the economic and cultural revitalization of the city’s downtown area.
